Convocation Ceremony Registration
Please join us for Kent State University’s Convocation Ceremony. Convocation has been a tradition at Kent State for many years and is used at institutions all around the country. This event marks the beginning of your students’ college career and entrance into higher education. Kent State University President, Lester A. Lefton will provide the opening remarks and officially welcome students to campus. This year parents and family members are invited to participate in convocation. A special section will be available for families to watch convocation. If you are interested in attending Convocation please fill out the information below. Convocation will be August 23, 2013 at 10:30am, participating families are asked to arrive at the MACC no later than 10:00am.

How many family members will be attending (not including Kent State Student)
Please understand that your student has a fairly full schedule. Essentially from 9:00am – 3:00pm they are attending various mandatory events. These include: Deans Welcome, Convocation, First FYE Course meeting and the Common Reading discussion. If you choose to attend Convocation, please understand that your student will have many other obligations throughout the day. Connecting with them before or after may not be possible.
